The Brazilian Arti?cial Intelligence (AI) group determined in 2004 to arrange a world Joint convention, becoming a member of IBERAMIA 2006 (the tenth Ibero-American Arti?cial Intelligence Conference), SBIA 2006 (the 18th Brazilian Arti?cial Int- ligence Symposium), and SBRN 2006 (the ninth Brazilian Neural Networks Sym- sium). This selection used to be a end result of the winning occasion prepared in 2000, while the 1st foreign Joint convention IBERAMIA/ SBIA 2000 (7th Ibero- American Arti?cial Intelligence convention and fifteenth Brazilian Arti?cial Intel- gence Symposium) happened in Brazil. furthermore, in 2006 the arti?cial intelligence neighborhood celebrated the golden anniversary of the 1956 Dartmouth convention that marked the start of arti?cial intelligence as a examine ?eld. th SBIA 2006 used to be the 18 convention of the SBIA convention sequence, that's the top Brazilian convention for the presentation of AI learn and functions. due to the fact that 1995, SBIA has turn into a global convention, with papers written in English, a global application Committee, and complaints released in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Arti?cial Intelligence (LNAI) sequence. th IBERAMIA 2006 was once the ten convention of the IBERAMIA convention - ries, which has been essentially the most compatible boards for Ibero-American AI researchers (from South and crucial American nations, Mexico, Spain and Portugal) to provide their effects. Following the SBIA and EPIA (Portuguese convention on AI) studies, from IBERAMIA 1998 on, it has additionally develop into a world convention with lawsuits released in Springer’s LNAI series.

Fig. 5. Communication structure Intelligent Learning Objects: An Agent Approach 25 5 Conclusions Intelligent Learning Objects are able to improve the adaptability, interoperability and interactivity of learning environments built with these kinds of components by the interaction among the learning objects and between learning objects and other agents in a more robust conception of communication rather than a single method invocation as the object-oriented paradigm use to be. The test bed application showed that the proposed approach of agent-based learning objects is useful to improve the interoperability of learning objects, pedagogical agents and agent-based learning environments.

Therefore, our distinctive research hypothesis is: i) a two-layer model intuitively represents the decision-making that occur in complex domains, and ii) a model that includes collective and individual decisions, enables an agent to decide whether a decision should be made at the collective or at the individual level. We formulate the collective versus individual, CvI, two-layer decision model. Each layer is a multilevel decision hierarchy supported on the framework of options [13], which extends the theory of reinforcement learning to include temporally abstract actions.

Nagata [7] investigated the effectiveness of two types of CALL feedback: traditional feedback that indicates only missing or unexpected words in the learner’s response, and feedback that provides further information about the nature of the errors in the form of meta-linguistic rules. The results of an achievement test, followed by a retention test three weeks later, showed that the second type of feedback An Experimental Study of Effective Feedback Strategies 29 was more effective than the first for improving the grammatical proficiency of learners of Japanese as L2 in the use of complex structures.
